Huge power generation plants, co-gen power generation plant, Bio-mass based power generation plants requires various types of water treatment plant for their regular daily use.

Using river water, municipal water and even sea water are treated for continuous usage through raw water treatment, chemical treatment and demineralised water treatment and Reverse Osmosis treatment, effluent treatment and recycling etc. for their regular requirements.

Exceptions are hydel power generation and wind energy generation, which are smaller in size does not require much water treatment needs.
